Larry to speak on Internet regulation May 27th in D.C.

Larry will be moderating a panel discussion on Internet interconnection and the appropriate role for the Federal Communications Commission in regulating agreements between private networks.

The event, sponsored by the Progressive Policy Institute, is titled “Should the FCC Serve as the Internet’s Traffic Cop?” and takes place at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington D.C. on May 27th, 2014 from noon until 2 PM.

Ruth Milkman, Chief of Staff for FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler, will give opening remarks.

Larry Joins Georgetown Business School Center

Larry has been named the Project Director for the Georgetown Center for Business and Public Policy’s new “Evolution of Regulation and Innovation” project. The Center is housed at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.

Larry will be working closely with faculty director John M. Mayo to develop fact-based policy recommendations for lawmakers and regulators to bring 19th century laws and rules dealing with disruptive innovations into the 21st century.

Larry to keynote USC event on "The Connected Future"

Larry keynotes the March 6th conference, “The Connected Future,” an executive roundtable on business growth in the age of connected devices at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.  Larry will offer new frameworks and strategies for business leaders to respond to disruptive technological innovations based on research from his new book, co-authored with Accenture’s Paul Nunes, “Big Bang Disruption.”
